Fund Description
The fund was incepted in February 1999 and is managed by the Vanguard Group. The objective of the fund is to seek a tax-efficient total return consisting of long-term capital growth. The fund invests in the stocks of the low-yielding large and midsize companies included in the Russell 1000 Index but is actively managed to minimize the impact of taxes on investor's returns and to discourage short-term trading. The fund distributes dividends and capital gains, if any, in December.
