Fund Description
The fund was incepted in September 1997 and is managed by Gabelli Advisers The fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation as well as current income. The fund invests primarily in companies that are engaged in real estate. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in the securities of publicly traded real estate investment trusts and real estate operating companies. Investments are restricted to securities with a market capitalization of a minimum of $50 million at the time of the fund's initial Investment. Dividends are distributed quarterly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
