Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities of foreign issuers, may invest up to 10% of total assets in emerging market equities, and invests in securities of at least three different countries including the U.S. It normally invests in common and preferred stocks, rights, warrants, and ADRs. Using bottom-up fundamental research, it emphasizes resilient companies with robust asset bases, sustainable cash flow growth, efficient capital allocation, and a commitment to dividends, balancing exposures between companies with growth characteristics and companies with value characteristics. It may use forward foreign currency contracts to manage risk or to enhance return and may invest uninvested cash in futures contracts on equity indexes as a substitute for purchasing equity securities directly. It may sell holdings based on objectives, changes in fundamentals or price, country/sector views, or portfolio risk fit.
