The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets in common stocks of small-capitalization companies, typically with market capitalizations similar to those of issuers in the Russell 2000 Growth Index over the last 13 months at the time of acquisition. It emphasizes smaller companies in new or emerging industries and may invest in IPOs. The manager uses a bottom-up stock-picking process focused on management quality and financial characteristics, seeking scalable business models and sustainable growth, and sells based on similar analysis. An affiliate may execute trades and provide quantitative support.
