Consumer banking is focused on retail customers and small businesses with annual revenues of up to $25 million. It provides traditional banking products and services, including deposit products, mortgage lending, credit cards, auto financing, small business offerings as well as wealth management and investment services.
Commercial banking is mainly focused on companies with annual revenues from $25 million to more than $3 billion. The segment is engaged in offering financial products and solutions, including loans, leases, trade financing, deposits, treasury services, foreign exchange and interest rate products, corporate finance and capital markets advisory services. It covers middle-market companies, large corporations and institutions and has industry expertise in areas including government banking, healthcare, technology, oil & gas, commercial real estate and sponsor finance.
Other constitutes treasury activities, wholesale funding activities, non-core assets, and other unallocated assets, liabilities, revenues, provision for credit losses and expenses.
In April 2022, Citizens Financial completed the acquisition of Investors for $3.39 billion. In February 2022, it closed the buyout of 80 East Coast branches and the national online deposit business from HSBC Bank U.S.A, N.A. In November 2021, Citizens Financial closed the acquisition of JMP Group LLC. In September 2021, the company acquired Willamette Management Associates.
As of Mar 31, 2022, Citizens Financial reported $192.1 billion of assets, $131.3 billion of loans and leases, $158.8 billion of deposits, and $22.1 billion of shareholders' equity.
