Fund Description

American Century Strategic Allocation Moderate, Investor Class was incepted in February 1996 and is managed by American Century Investment Management. The objective of the fund is to seek long-term capital growth with some regular income. The fund emphasizes investments in equity securities but maintains a sizeable stake in bonds and money market securities. The fund primarily invests in equity securities but maintains a portion of its assets in bonds and money market securities. The fund invests in any type of U.S. or foreign equity security that meets certain fundamental and technical standards. The fund invests in a variety of debt securities in both U.S. and foreign currencies. The fund managers invest in grade securities, that is, securities rated in the four highest categories by independent rating organizations, and invest up to 10% of its assets in high yield securities. The fund offers dividends quarterly and capital gains twice a year in March and December.
