Fund Description

Incepted in December 1994, this fund is managed by Dreyfus Corporation. The objective of this fund is to provide shareholders with as high a level of current income as is consistent with safety of principal and maintenance of liquidity. The fund invests at least 65% of its total assets in various types of U.S. and foreign investment grade bonds or their unrated equivalent as determined by Dreyfus. The fund's portfolio also include government bonds, mortgage-backed securities and corporate debt. The fund offers dividends every month and capital gains annually.
