Fund Description

The fund was incepted in October 1997 and is managed by Massachusetts Financial Services Company. The fund's investment objective is to seek capital appreciation. The fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 65% of its total assets in common stocks and related securities of foreign (including emerging market) issuers. The fund may invest in companies of any size, including equity securities issued by foreign companies with relatively small market capitalizations, that the fund believes are early in their life cycle but have the potential to become major enterprises. The fund's investments may also include securities issued in initial public offerings and securities traded in the over-the-counter markets. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests in at least three different countries. The fund offers dividends annually and capital gains annually.
