Fund Description

The fund was incepted in November 1990 and is managed by the Boston Management and Research. The objective of the fund is to provide a high level of income and total return by investing in a global portfolio consisting primarily of high grade debt securities. The fund pursues its objective by investing in Strategic Income Portfolio. The fund also invest in High Income Portfolio. The fund invest principally (over 50% of net assets) in high grade debt securities and remainder of its assets in lower-rated debt securities. The fund also invests in income-producing securities and derivative instruments in different countries and currencies, and with various credit ratings including those of below investment grade quality. The fund is engaged in derivative transactions to protect against price decline, to enhance returns or as a substitute for purchasing or selling securities. The fund offers dividends monthly and capital gains annually.
