Fund Description

The fund was incepted in June 2002. The Fidelity Group manages the fund. The main objective of this fund is to seek a total return that exceeds the rate of inflation over the long term. This fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in inflation-protected debt securities of all types. The fund's focus is on inflation-protected debt securities issued by the U.S. Treasury, but may also invest in U.S. Government agencies and instrumentalities other than the U.S. Treasury, and other entities such as corporations and foreign governments. The fund offers a monthly dividend. Capital gains, if any, are distributed annually in December.
