Fund Description
Incepted in July 1984, the fund is managed by First Pacific Advisors. The fund seeks current income and long-term total return. The fund invests primarily in fixed-income securities, with an emphasis on obligations issued or guaranteed by the United States government and its agencies and instrumentalities. While this fund invests primarily in U.S. government securities, it is a diversified portfolio, seeking opportunities in all major fixed income segments. In addition to government securities, possible areas for investment include corporate issues, mortgages, asset-backed securities, convertible bonds and high-yield bonds. Dividends are paid semi-annually and capital gains are distributed annually.
