Fund Description

The fund was incepted in November 1992 and is managed by Fifth Third Asset Management. The objective of this fund is to seek growth of capital. Income is a secondary objective. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in common stocks of mid cap companies. Mid cap companies are companies with market capitalizations no larger than 110%, and no smaller than 90%, of the market capitalizations of the companies in the Russell Midcap Index (generally, between $500 million and $10 billion). To achieve its secondary objective of income, the fund relies on dividend and interest income. The fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in common stocks of large cap companies (many of which pay dividends), small cap companies, as well as interest paying convertible securities. Dividends, if any, are declared and paid quarterly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed at least annually.
