Fund Description

The fund was incepted in December 1991 and is managed by Columbia Management Advisors, Inc. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in stocks of foreign companies expected to experience long-term, above-average earnings growth. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities, primarily the equity securities of foreign issuers. The fund may invest 20% of its total assets in companies located in countries with emerging economies or emerging securities markets. The fund pays dividends and capital gains annually.
