Fund Description

The fund was incepted in August 2000 and is managed by GSAM. The fund seeks to generate return in excess of traditional money market products while maintaining an emphasis on preservation of capital and liquidity. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in a portfolio of fixed income securities, including non-mortgage securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies, instrumentalities or sponsored enterprises (''U.S. Government Securities''), corporate notes and commercial paper and fixed and floating rate asset-backed securities. The fund pays dividends monthly and capital gains annually.
