Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in stocks of domestic and foreign issuers participating in or benefiting from resource development in the Mid-North America area (the "Region") described in the fund's strategy. It primarily invests in companies headquartered or principally based in the Region, or with at least 50% of revenues or assets there. It may invest in companies of any size, including smaller firms with limited revenues, focusing mainly on energy and, to a lesser extent, agribusiness, precious metals, and metals and mining, plus related service companies; energy holdings may include hydraulic fracturing. Foreign exposure is typically via depositary receipts such as ADRs. Selection considers supply/demand, market conditions, growth potential, and valuation, and may sell when fundamentals deteriorate.
