The fund was incepted in June 1996 and is managed by John Hancock Advisers, LLC. The fund seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in domestic equity securities. The fund invests more than 5% of assets in securities of individual companies. The fund invests in securities of foreign issuers. The fund invests extensively in Investment grade under abnormal market conditions. The fund declare and pay any income dividends annually and any capital gains are distributed annually.
