Fund Description

The fund was incepted in August 2000 and is managed by Lord Abbett and Co. The objective of the fund is to seek income and capital appreciation to produce a high total return. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purpose, in fixed income securities of various types. The fund primarily invests in U.S. government, mortgage related and investment grade debt securities including those issued by non U.S. entities but dominated U.S. dollars known as ('yankees'). Investment in high yield debt and non-U.S. debt denominated in foreign currencies are each limited to 20% of the total return funds net assets. The dividends are offered monthly and capital gains annually.
