Fund Description

The fund was incepted in September 1998 and is managed by New York Life Investment Management. The objective of this fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in securities of small-cap companies. The fund invests primarily in securities of companies within the capitalization spectrum of the Russell 2000 Stock index. The fund advisors use a proprietary 'value' method in managing the fund's assets, focusing on securities they believe are undervalued and have positive and/or improving fundamentals. The fund's proprietary valuation model seeks to identify attractive but undervalued small-capitalization stocks. The fund offers dividends quarterly. Capital gains are distributed in December.
