Fund Description

Incepted in October 1947, the fund is managed by Christopher Leavy and Allan Gilston. The fund seeks high total return. The fund invests mainly in equity securities for the purpose of seeking capital appreciation. The fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities. In addition to investing in equity securities, the fund may also invest in debt securities when the portfolio managers believe that doing so will be beneficial in obtaining high total return. Under normal market conditions the fund invests primarily in medium and large-capitalization stocks, defined as $2.5 billion or more, however the fund may invest in stocks of small-cap companies to the extent the manager deems appropriate. The fund distributes dividends and capital gains annually.
