Fund Description

The fund was incepted in November 1938 and is managed by Sentinel Advisors Company. The fund seeks a combination of growth of capital and current income, with relatively low risk and relatively low fluctuations in value. The fund seeks to combine the relative stability of fixed-income securities with the opportunities for capital growth offered by high quality common stocks. The fund seeks this goal by investing in common stocks of well-established companies, most of which pay regular dividends, with at least 25% of its assets in bonds. Dividends are distributed quarterly. Capital gains are distributed in December, following the November 30th fiscal year-end.
