Fund Description

The fund was incepted in October 1991 and is managed by Gabelli Advisers. The fund seeks to provide capital appreciation and current income resulting in a high total investment return consistent with prudent investment risk and a balanced investment approach. The fund's managers have the flexibility to adjust the allocation between stocks, bonds and cash as appropriate in light of current economic and business conditions. The fund invests in stocks of seasoned companies. The debt securities held by the fund are investment grade securities of corporate/government issuers, commercial paper and mortgage and asset-backed securities. Dividends are distributed quarterly. Capital gains are distributed annually.
