Fund Description

The fund was incepted in March 2000 and is managed by Waddell & Reed Investment Management Company (WRIMCO). The fund seeks long-term growth of capital while minimizing taxable gains and income to shareholders. The fund seeks to achieve its goal by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of common stocks of U.S. and foreign companies that WRIMCO considers to be high in quality and attractive in their long-term investment potential. The fund seeks stocks that are favorably priced in relation to their fundamental value and will likely grow over time. While the fund typically invests in the common stock of large to medium sized U.S. companies, it may invest in companies of any size, any industry or any country in order to achieve its goal. Dividends and capital gains, if any, are distributed annually.
