The Dow Chemical Company’s (DOW - Free Report) Dow Water & Process Solutions unit has announced the global launch of the TEQUATIC PLUS fine particle filter. This cost-effective, high-performance solution will protect important water resources. The TEQUATIC PLUS was made available in the Chinese and European markets in October and November, respectively, after a year of its launch in North America.
TEQUATIC PLUS has been used in many applications for difficult, high-solids water, including industrial wastewater treatment and reuse in North America. This low-cost solution for treating difficult water is supported by a recently opened manufacturing facility in Menlo Park, CA.
The patented TEQUATIC PLUS filter combines the power of continuous cleaning, cross-flow filtration with centrifugal separation and solids collection into a single device to meet the demands of extreme water environments. It is specifically targeted for the non-potable water applications, functioning as a prime filter, a pre-filter or a post-filter based on the requirement.
It can be utilized in tough water spaces and is reliable for handling very high and highly variable total suspended solids up to 10,000 mg/L without frequent filter changes – even in the presence of oil. Moreover, the TEQUATIC PLUS filter can boost operations and also reduce environmental footprint by producing less waste, high water recovery and high uptime.
As TEQUATIC PLUS filter removes high level of solids, it helps the customers to increase the flow rate through the dissolved air flotation unit, thus lessening the need to invest in capital for higher throughput rates. All these attributes of TEQUATIC PLUS filter makes it preferable to other conventional technologies such as bag and cartridge filters.
TEQUATIC PLUS filter is marketed by Clean Filtration Technologies LLC through Dow Water & Process Solutions.
