AGCO’s fourth-quarter 2015 adjusted earnings plunged 32% year over year to $0.80 per share. AGCO expects first-quarter 2016 sales and earnings per share to be significantly lower than first-quarter 2015 due to low production levels. Softer industry demand for farm equipment across all regions and the unfavorable effects of foreign currency translation are expected to negatively impact AGCO’s full-year 2016 results. AGCO expects 2016 earnings per share at approximately $2.30 on the back of revenues of $7 billion. Nevertheless, AGCO’s strategic plans of investment in new product development, distribution enhancement and factory productivity improvement will boost growth and profits.
