Avery Dennison Corporation (AVY - Free Report) announced that Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film has outperformed currently available competitive wrapping films in the vehicle wrap benchmark test. Supreme Wrapping Film ranked the highest for slideability and conformability. It also achieved maximum score for overall performance.
The benchmark tests on slideability, repositionability, air egress, conformability, application speed, removal speed and finish quality were conducted by three independent applicators at three different skill levels supported by an independent wrap shop. Independent applicators compared seven vehicle wrapping films by major international manufacturers.
The video related to the benchmark test made its debut in the Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions stand at FESPA (The Federation of European Screen Printers Associations) 2013, in London. It is also featured on the Avery Dennison channel in YouTube – a subsidiary of Google Inc. .
The easy-to-apply vehicle wrapping film has proven to be a time and cost saver. It is also available in many colors and finishes. Supreme Wrapping Film can be applied almost 20% faster than other products. This high quality film by Avery permits faster positioning and air-bubble free application as well as long-term removability.
The dual-layered Supreme Wrapping Film combines color, texture and clear protective layers to provide a smooth finish. The film also features patented Avery Dennison Easy Apply RS technology which allows it to slide quickly over the surface of the vehicle.
The demand for car wrap is growing as it can be easily removed without damaging the original paint of the vehicle. Apart from being faster and more affordable than a custom paint job, Vinyl wraps are easier to maintain. The use of these wraps is not limited to solar cars. These can also be installed on most vehicles and boats, ATVs, motorcycles and RVs.
The newly achieved rank complement’s the popularity that Avery’s Supreme Wrapping Film is gaining. Recently, the company inked a partnership with West Coast Customs (WCC). Under the collaboration, Avery’s vehicle wrap films will be displayed in each project of WCC’s new TV show.
Supreme Wrapping Film will also be featured on University of Michigan’s 2013 solar car called Generation. Generation will compete in the 2013 World Solar Challenge from Oct 6 to Oct 13, under the challenger class team.
