Liberty Global reported mixed financial results in the third quarter of 2015 wherein the bottom line steered past the Zacks Consensus Estimate while the top line missed the same. We believe that the long-term fundamentals of the company are quite intriguing as the company is gradually establishing a strong foothold in the European cable MSO market. Moreover, addition of ARRIS Touchstone TG2492 Gateway, the Cable & Wireless purchase, extensive investments in the Irish market and aggressive Wi-Fi rollout should boost the company’s top and bottom line further. However, a failed merger negotiation with Vodafone is a major setback. Also, saturated demand in European markets, foreign exchange rate risks, a highly leveraged balance sheet are potent headwinds.
