A.O. Smith’s third-quarter 2015 earnings per share came above the Zacks Consensus Estimate as well as the year-ago figure on the back of growing product popularity and prices. Also, the company has raised its 2015 earnings guidance for the third time this year. However, dip in the value of the Chinese currency pulled down the total revenues. Additionally, lower sales in India and Europe negatively impacted the Rest of the World segment revenues. Also, for 2015, A.O. Smith has decreased its sales expectations in India, owing to decline in new home sales. Apart from this, rising SG&A expenses remained a headwind. Huge dependency on the price of raw material may also adversely affect the company’s operating performance in the future.
