Windstream Offers AAR Across Nation

Read MoreHide Full Article

With a growing demand for the enterprise products, Windstream Corporation (WIN - Free Report) expanded its Advanced Application Reporting (AAR) product countrywide for IT professionals. The expansion will boost customer accretion, primarily in the enterprise segment that would in turn drive revenue growth.

AAR provides solutions for Wide Area Network (WAN) traffic, by resolving problems related to speed performances and optimizes network connectivity. Through this product, Windstream’s customers will be able to collect, format and display WAN performance statistics in various reporting functions. This will enable them to project network activity for different periods based on hour, days or weeks.

Windstream remains focused on expanding its service offerings to businesses with VoIP services, data bundles, cloud and managed services. In addition, Windstream has re-branded its consumer offerings with advanced Internet and entertainment services.

The company gained significant traction in the enterprise market by acquiring PAETEC Holding Corp in Dec 2011. Besides financial benefits, the acquisition has catapulted significant growth in enterprise market with nationwide coverage of fiber network cables.

The acquisition increased opportunities in cloud computing and managed services and attracted business customers across many locations. Windstream is also planning to introduce customized business solutions that will improve its competitive position in the industry. We believe the launch of Endpoint Security Protection is concurrent with the company’s plan to tap opportunities arising from IT needs within small and medium business segments.

Hence, we believe that continuous expansion of such product offerings by entering new markets will not only drive subscriber growth but will also improve the company’s overall business performance, hence giving it a competitive advantage over the likes of Frontier Communications (FTR - Free Report) , Cbeyond Inc. and Consolidated Communications Holdings Inc. (CNSL - Free Report) .

Windstream has a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).
