QuickLogic’s ArcticLink III BX device will be used to implement a significant application processor to display bridging solutions for Water World’s new tablet.
Water World is a leading mobile phone designer, manufacturer and supplier across the globe. The company, along with other Chinese firms, is continuously developing mobile devices such as tablet computers for the global white-box marketplace. The white-box tablet PCs are low-cost tablets mainly manufactured by local brands in China and account for about one-third of the world’s tablet market. These tablets are gaining worldwide popularity due to their cost effectiveness and are consequently exerting pressure on traditional notebooks.
QuickLogic’s ArcticLink III BX device possesses key features such as low power consumption, a small device form factor, and "plug-and-play" capability for short design cycles. Moreover, the QuickLogic solution is capable of supporting a wide range of interface and display standards. The solution also includes Android software drivers that facilitate speed development time and lower development costs and risks.
QuickLogic’s ArcticLink BX devices are ideal for system designers of cost-sensitive IDH. QuickLogic invents and offers customer-friendly software solutions to mobile and portable electronics Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), which collectively are called CSSPs. Generally, CSSPs allow manufacturers to produce customized products that can be launched quickly and have a longer market presence.
